Bulldog Book Club

Bulldog Book Club, (BBC), is open to all students in all grade levels. The club consists of staff members and students. Our first meeting of the school year usually happens in September. We try to read different genres, (historical fiction, drama, mystery, comedy, etc.). All you need to do to join book club is attend the first meeting where we vote on a book. Don't worry! If you miss the first meeting, you can join us for the next book! We meet every two weeks in the library during lunch time to discuss our assigned reading. See Mrs. Santos with any questions.

Coding Club

The Bulldog Coding Pack introduces students to coding so that they can be creators, instead of just consumers of technology.  We use Google's CS First Curriculum to teach students block coding using Scratch, a free programming language and community developed by students at MIT.  The primary goal of the program is to give students a positive first experience with coding.  Our theme for October 2018 will be Music & Sound.  In February 2019, we will also be hosting another coding session.  Then in April 2019, we will conclude the year with a Makerspace/Robotics session where students will build their own creations and animate them using Birdbrain Technologies Hummingbird Robotics kits.  Each coding unit includes eight sessions and the robotics unit is six sessions.  We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:45 to 3:45.  Students must be eligible to attend and maintain eligibility throughout the entire unit that they signed up for.

Bulldog Bulletin

The goal of Bulldog Bulletin is to provide a school news and entertainment production for our staff and students each week.  The show highlights some of the great things happening at RMMS each week including classroom activities, sports, and leadership activities, and includes a trivia game that encourages our students to visit the library in order to participate.  We also celebrate student birthdays for the upcoming week.  Students in the club learn to use a camcorder, camera, and editing software to capture school events during the week and to film our show.  We meet every Monday to put together a show that is shown each Wednesday.

The JUMP program is an after school club for students who are interested in learning about health careers. Students who participate will be required to attend club meetings that will take place every two weeks.

Students who join the JUMP club will explore health careers, learn medical terminology, strengthen their soft skills, develop leadership skills, learn teamwork strategies, create positive work ethics, and compete with other JUMP clubs at the Spring Showdown.

A commitment is needed to join this club, if you have not yet attended a meeting, you will need to talk to Mrs. Burright or Mrs. Ambrozich.
